Description

I was nearly kicked out of high school for this shot. I left school for an anti-bush regime rally in dowtown Rochester (simply to photograph). And my school was contacted by homeland security about the rally. They took it upon themselves to threaten me with suspensions and bullshit but I fought it and of course won. This was the prize shot from the day.

I spoonfeed people the focal point with the desaturation. However I enjoy the fact that there is a rich businessman in a trench coat on his left. And a homeless teenager on his right. If you look closely you can see his shoe has huge holes in it. Just food for thought

The photo certainly has a message and story. It really helps that the subject is facing the camera. I like it.

Like to see a photograph with a message!

Always a big fan of desaturation work like this.

Hope you keep within the boundaries now when entering a prestigious Art School! :)

very nice concept and quite creative with the main model in color on whom the viewer is focused right on the spot :) +9 points

Nice composition. Desat works well. I like the microphone - as has been noted this is a documentary image and the microphone is part of the setting and story.
